Weekly MILP Roundup #94

19 Apr

The Weekly MILP (Moms In the Legal Profession) Roundup** is the brainchild of Saramel (retired). It is hosted on a rotating basis at the PT-LawMom, A Little Fish in Law School, and A New Duck blogs and is usually posted no later than Monday morning. Next week’s MILP Roundup will be hosted by New Duck.

This week I’m trying for creativity, based on the Top 25 Country Songs of 1999.

First up, the only non-creative post because, darn it, I just can’t make it fit but it is worthy of being included. Cee talks about choosing a practice area and managing peoples’ expectations about the type of law you practice.

3L Wannabe talks about Lessons Learned (Tracy Lawrence) over the end of a friendship

Googie Baba is trying to remember to Breathe (Faith Hill)

All Things Considered
(Yankee Grey), PBB’s nonprofit is actually benefiting from the legal market downturn in the form of experienced volunteers

Certifiable was totally Amazed (Lonestar) at her stroke of luck in a deposition this week (yeah, okay, the song doesn’t work but the title will have to do because it’s a good blog post)

With one child and considering another, Magic Cookie knows How Forever Feels (Kenny Chesney)

Proto Attorney may be Ready to Run (Dixie Chicks) after a crappy week but at least she’ll do so in awesome shoes!

Butterflyfish ponders What Do You Say (Reba McEntire) when your mother tells you stuff that makes your ears bleed.

New Duck is rocking life as a Single White Female (Chely White) with a little help from her sister and some new furniture

Trannyhead and her hubby are probably reflecting on When I Said I Do (Clint Black) in the glow of their shiny new toy

And Lag Liv is telling her hubby “You’re Still the One” (Shania Twain) in a little meme with picture

If you would like to have your blog added to the MILP blogroll for weekly review or would like us to consider a specific post, drop the hostess(es) an email or leave a comment at their respective sites.

**Hat tip to the “original” Roundup Evan Schaeffer’s Legal Underground and Thanks, But No Thanks

I actually had 94 at the start and must have psyched myself into thinking it was 93 because I changed it. Will change it back.
