My baby is growing up! Where can I find the life pause button? I can’t believe he is so big, so beautiful, so smart, so special… and now so toothless. Yes, as he was brushing his teeth this morning, the first one fell out. He caught it and raced outside to my room to show me, then called his Dad, his Granddad, etc. I took pictures and here they are for you to see.

Fortunately, even with the banks shut, Mommy managed to find a gold Sacagawea $1 coin. Only took hitting up five different cashiers at three different stores. I got him a new wallet that he wanted with a coin area for his coins and put a $5 bill in there. The tooth fairy is bringing him the gold coin along with a new Super Mario toothbrush, Strawberry toothpaste and some sugarless gum. I also printed some brushing charts, some coloring sheets and a certificate from the tooth fairy. I sprinkled sequins from the door of his room to the front door with a few on his pillow and bedside table for good measure. The bag with the tooth fairy items also has glitter and sequins in it (fairy dust). He has another loose tooth already so I guess I’d better haul tail to the bank to get a roll of those dollar coins unless I want to make lunch hour excursions a regular part of my already crazy workdays.
