December 3rd, 2008  Posted at   Blogging, Women in Law

Last year I had the honor of having my blog selected as one of the ABA Journal’s Top 100 blogs. This year, there are a variety of new blogs out there (see the 2008 list here). Unfortunately, as usual, many of my favorites are in the same category so it makes it hard to pick one.

I encourage you all to vote for Susan Cartier Liebel’s blog, Build a Solo Practice, LLC. Susan has been working hard for years to teach law students that solo practice is a viable alternative and helps them to make a plan. She is one of several excellent solo lawyer bloggers, including Chuck Newton, Grant Griffiths and Carolyn Elefant.

Also, vote for Kelly/LawMummy, also known as TaxGirl (for which she was nominated).

EDITED TO ADD: Butterflyfish makes an excellent point in the comments that many great law student blogs were overlooked. I don’t know that I agree with their policy to not include people who don’t post at least once a week. There are some very well-written, substantive blogs out there (the Blawgraphy, for one) that only have posts when the posts are fully developed.
