Ink
Okay, details, details. I thought about doing something related to Pumpkinhead but couldn’t think of anything that I would really want. Decided instead to celebrate my heritage. I need to find someone who can actually draw but here’s some images I love that I want to put together into one image. Fern to left, Kiwi in the middle, NZ on right. I will probably get it on my left lower belly since I don’t have any nerve sensation there and it’s lawyer-appropriate (although I did think about getting the NZ one by itself on my ankle…).

And I need to find a place to get it done. And I need to reconsider the color - apparently red can be an allergen and, well, I AM Murphy’s Law girl…

I didn’t know you were a kiwi!!! Awesome!! I know so few!!
My husband has some ink–just two right now–and he always gets these crazy complicated ideas wanting to put three or five images together. I constantly talk him out of it — its rare that anyone can make more than two images work well.
The result has been simpler but beautiful tats.

Sweet. I have a few tattoos myself in ‘lawyer-appropriate’ places of course. Looks nice.

I didn’t know you were a kiwi either! I have many friends from Oz and one from Tasmania but no New Zealanders. Very cool!
I dig anything aboriginal.
And great work getting the blog back up and running! You go girl~

Okay, I found this brilliant idea for you. http://www.cuteoverload.com/ (if there’s not a picture of a tattoo, scroll down a bit. I was having trouble linking to the exact post.) Anyway, a connect-the-dots tattoo!! Brilliant! So much fun for Pumpkinhead!

LOL - that is wicked cute. I saw another one that was similar - outlines of robots on inner arms you could color in when you wanted. Not my cup of tea but no doubt fun.
One of Blue Eyes’ friends told me tonight that when I showed up with a tattoo, he’d get one too. Then he laughed. Hard. Man, everyone thinks I’m so uptight. Little do they know…
Crap, now I need to hurry this thing up! I may actually go with the NZ tattoo on my ankle (smaller though). Not sure. Keep thinking about my baby birthing hips and the potential for more expansion (or, better, shrinkage) so maybe the belly tattoo isn’t the best plan. Not that the ankle is awesome either. But at least the NZ tattoo tells a story!
@T - the Aborigines are Australian. The Maoris are the native New Zealanders. I’ll post a pic sometime of my Dad teaching local kids to do the Haka (Maori war dance that basically means “I’m gonna eat you, sucka!”)

Bombshell is the best tattoo parlor in town and appropriately, it’s right next to Poison Girl.
