If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am a music nut. Think that life has many theme songs. Here are this week’s.
This week’s awesome roundup is up at A Little Fish in Law School.
The Weekly MILP (Moms in the Legal Profession) Roundup is the brainchild of Saramel (retired). It is hosted on a rotating basis at the PT-LawMom, A New Duck and A Little Fish in Law School blogs and is usually posted no later than Monday morning. Next week’s MILP Roundup will be back here.
I had an excellent weekend. Spent Friday night hanging with Pumpkinhead and watching Star Wars. Saturday afternoon was swimming with Pumpkinhead and getting a mani/pedi with my Mom. Then Saturday night I went out with a good friend who I’ve been trying to meet up with for a while now (other side of town). Got all dressed up and had such a blast that I didn’t drag my sorry ass through the door until 4:15 a.m.
After DivorceCare, I called up Blue Eyes to see if he wanted to eat with us and we all went out to Red Lobster. Pumpkinhead was being such a goofball and by the end of lunch we were all cracking up so hard that we had to leave the restaurant before the other diners caught the laughing bug (or kicked us out…). Then Pumpkinhead took a nap with my parents while Blue Eyes and I napped and watched football. I just got back from grocery shopping where I picked up some awesome sesame seed/pumpkin seed/flax/raisin “diet” trail mix at the store and some fresh squash and zucchini I’m going to cook up for dinner after I put Pumpkinhead to bed. Then it’s study time.
I feel really good (probably side effects of that “nap” – LOL). Nice change to be happy.
P.S. Oh and Chapin called tonight. Spoke with Pumpkinhead for five minutes and then we talked for about a minute about his brother’s new baby and about Pumpkinhead’s return to school. It was civilized and friendly. Encouraging. Ended with a “give my boy a big kiss and have a great week.” Much better than the, “I’m going to smack you up, whore” conversations we were having for a while there.
P.P.S. The sewage is actually still flowing in front of Blue Eyes’ house. Ugh. Went over for a few minutes today to pick him up for lunch and the neighborhood stench was overwhelming. Good Lord, how I’m glad that isn’t happening in my neighborhood!
P.P.P.S. Pundit Mom says she’s “counting down the minutes until the Sarah Palin Comedy Hour begins.” ROFL!!!
