I read two wonderful single mom posts this week. The first was a romantic tale that melted my heart (second and third paragraphs). The second was more spiritually thought-provoking and I really related to it. Just had to share.

Woke up in a much better mood this morning. Pumpkinhead was cheery. He asked to call Chapin and the man actually answered, made his son giggle hysterically and then {wa-hoo} hung up. 
I think he’s finally getting it.
Got the psych report back. Definitely worth the $1,000 we paid. It has excellent concrete recommendations for structuring Pumpkinhead’s days and is measured and detailed. Need to draft letter to school and send a copy to his pediatrician today.
Quick political aside – I was so pleased that Obama didn’t give in to McCain’s debate-canceling moves.
Okay, off to work.
