Well it has been a long day. After getting here at 5:30 a.m., then many hours of waiting in a room filled with cranky people, wicked loud cell phones that no one seemed to want to/know how to answer, and broken vending machines/bathrooms to foil any snacking/peeing plans I may have had, Blue Eyes finally made it out of the procedure and the recovery room. In between dry heaves (love that anesthesia!) and drug-induced sleeping bouts, he rolls over and says, “Gonna let me guest blog about this?” Hahaha. Cute.
So after making sure he was okay, I headed back down to the cafeteria. Ran into the same hot guys with guns from this morning so I’m guessing they didn’t go to Galveston. The traffic down there is insane! Still, I have to wonder where so many people would be going to closer by and still be able to make it back here for lunch. Hmmm. Anyway, noshed on a yummy grilled cheese and tomato on wheat and some four-bean salad (yes, four – they added chickpeas). I think I could live on four-bean salad. Mmmm. Brought back some Diet Sweet Leaf Mint & Honey tea for Blue Eyes in the hopes that he’ll be able to keep something down. I am a sympathetic vomiter.
Okay, I just typed that and then the guy in the next bed totally puked all over the place. Ewww. Don’t think my lunch will look all that great coming back up… Blah.
