Weird how I considered his not returning to be a possibility. Maybe getting time to get your feet under you without him around is good, though it sucks for PH. Then again, this is gonna suck for PH no matter what. Glad your folks are supportive and the new job=flexibility.

Sell the car and keep the leftover cash if it remained in both of your names in the divorce, but if it was part of the settlement that he alone would assume the loan and get the car, then it’s his damn credit report. Just make sure you’re in the clear before you politely call the lender to come pick the thing up.
I can’t say this surprises me (I strongly suspected it) but I am incredibly sorry for your little boy.
I am very glad that you will not have stalking issues to deal with and I am very glad he didn’t make this decision with PH in tow.
And you may have options re support enforcement, depending on his country!
