Quick update post
Damn blog has been broken for two days but has finally settled down.
Final divorce papers drawn up and ready for signature! Chapin promises to sign and then will be leaving the country for a few weeks to “recover”. We’ll see…
Saw Kung Fu Panda - really cute and funny.
Pumpkinhead and I fed the ducks and played on Saturday. He’s such a cutie-pie.
Pumpkinhead started swimming lessons yesterday and dived like a little dolphin. He starts soccer tonight. Went out this weekend and bought cool soccer shoes with dragons on each side and MLS shinguard socks. He’s so psyched!! I can’t believe my baby is almost five years old.
Damn, these five-week classes go fast. I have 150+ pages to read each week and it’s kicking my butt.
I love my job, in case I haven’t mentioned that lately. :p
That’s all for now.

I’m glad everything is moving along and hope everything gets to where it should be soon.

Dude - I’m telling you - it’s only a lot of reading if you do it. I long LONG since stopped reading for law school and honestly, my grades are the same.
Anyway, glad everything is moving along with The Jackass. And isn’t it great to have a kid so that you have an excuse to do things that are otherwise sort of geeky like feed ducks? Love it.

Glad to hear things are looking up for you!

Thank goodness you’re alright. I was getting a little worried when the website was inaccessible for the past two days.

I only just started reading your blog, and though I don’t know you, I read something on your site that sent a red flag in my mind and would never forgive myself if something happened. I don’t mean to worry you more, but I saw that your soon to be ex is planning on leaving the country after the papers are signed. Just make sure that your son is in your custody when he leaves. This shockingly is more common than we think, but aggressive men can take their children to another country and it’s almost impossible to extradite them and get the kids back. Your soon to be ex seems to be handling this all very strangely, and I just want to make sure this isn’t something he’s planning. I’m sorry if this is overstepping my bounds, I just thought I’d bring it up just in case.

Please, please make sure Pumpkinhead’s passport is in your possession and out of Chapin’s grasp. I’m sure you’ve already covered that base, but I had to point it out.

Yes, the passport is securely locked away in a location Chapin doesn’t know about (at someone else’s house). It’s much more difficult post-9/11 for a parent to steal a child without the other’s permission.
