Chapin got a very expensive traffic ticket today. Then he popped a tire. Then I called him to tell him that the lawyer has a proposed divorce agreement ready for him to sign and that he could actually sign both the temporary and final agreements on the same day (PLEASE!!!). Of course he picks that moment to go back on all the agreements we made. Guess he’s finally facing reality… Yep, he was not having the best day.

Then I had car trouble and was late to my first night of class. Got the rooms mixed up and was even later! Walking in to class 30 minutes late was not impressive. Finally arrived home and then Pumpkinhead stood on a thumbtack. Bandaged him up (he’s okay – it was just a tiny one), put him back to bed and then sat down to watch a DVR’d program. Program cut off 10 minutes early. WHY, uVerse, Why?!? Then I realized I’d had chicken marinating all day and put it on to cook so I’d have dinner for tomorrow night, not setting the timer but thinking, “No problem – I’ll just check it when my show is over.” An hour later I remember and, of course, the chicken is now totally dry and nasty. Then I sit back on the couch and put my water down next to me… on the couch. And the thought crosses my mind that perhaps that’s not the smartest place for it, but I dismiss that. Advance 10 minutes to a sudden gush of iciness in my nether-regions. Yep, that’ll teach me to go for the 32-oz water glass.
