I too have a middle-school mentality. I find MILF amusing. Sure, not good for being taken seriously as a book club, but it still makes me chuckle.

I just want to say - when I said MOTHERS IN THE LEGAL FIELD, I 100% forgot about the acronym and its other meaning. I have never seen the movie, and only heard the acronym over the summer when one of the bar exam lecturers was referred to as a MILF, and I didn’t understand it then, either.

I just didn’t want to be excluded based solely upon my graduation from law school.

I agree with the name change suggestion. I finished a while ago (what else do I have to do?) and am ready to discuss whenever y’all are. But those of you in law school have bad timing with finals looming. (And I am now doing a happy dance because I don’t have to take another test again, ever. Woo Hoo!)

I noticed you have a book club selection, you might look at Carolyn 101 it is great read. Small and detailed, lots of good adivce from Trump’s previous right hand.

She addresses questions sent to her from working women and mother regarding everything from life/work balance, working with an ego like Donald Trump to managing your career.

Just thought I would suggest it.

When I told my family about the book club lets just say my husband and daughter (15 yrs) looked at me and said…..

So I’m all for a name change, I think the club deserves to be respected and MILF was not going to get us there. Although, I thought it was funny to play of the acroynm as stated by PT-Lawmom.

How about Women in Law (WIL)?

MILF came from American Pie and means Mom I’d Like to F***. That’s all I meant about degrading. I thought it was a funny play on the acronym and then reconsidered that notion. Trying not to regress to the “Beavis and Butthead” years. Heh-heh.

And the only thing about Moms is that it doesn’t include great voices like Ana’s from “Think Like a Woman… Act Like a Man.” (See, Ana, I’m calling you out!)

Good, I’m glad you are abandoning the MILF club. No good ideas here for an alternate acronym, though.

I will attempt to at least open the book before this weekend.
