What’s up with my professors this year?!?! I did all right in the summer semester, but this fall both teachers required brand new ($$$!) books. I did okay because I got one from Amazon and the other directly from the publisher with free shipping and a 5% discount. Now I’ve registered for spring classes and, again, my teachers want expensive books.
Fortunately it looks like some people used the book this fall because there are a few Amazon Marketplace copies. I have found Amazon Marketplace to be a great place to buy and resell used textbooks and study guides. The study guides tend to be in particularly good condition because I think many people buy them and then don’t use them nearly as much as they’d intended. If you need to purchase books for your upcoming semester, please consider searching for them through my Amazon search button in the sidebar or visiting my Amazon store for recommended study guides. I get a small (very small!) commission and every bit helps with these expensive books. Help a Mama out, dear readers.
Thanks!
P.S. If you go directly through the publisher to buy a brand new book, they will often give you discounts down the line (Aspen called a few weeks into the semester to offer me 10% off any future purchase). It’s worth checking out that option on new books so you’ll have a greater discount the next go-around. You should also see if Westlaw or Lexis will give you points. I believe Lexis is partnered with Aspen and I know that West is Westlaw’s publishing arm.
