Crazy Decisions
I’m losing it. It’s 7:06 a.m. I’m laying in bed. I have to be at work at 8:15 and I still have to get me and Pumpkinhead dressed and fed and drop off at daycare. My commute is 45 minutes at best. My legs just don’t seem to want to work and I am soooo tired. At least I got most of my reading done last night.
Know what Chapin and Pumpkinhead and I are doing next Wednesday? Yep, driving almost a full day from “here” (no, not telling), to the mid-atlantic side of the country. Then, on Saturday night, we’re going to turn around and try to get back in time for a good night’s sleep. The good news is that we will be able to see my good friend, my brother and nephew and, most importantly, my SIL, BIL and the two babies born since we moved away (these are siblings I’m referring to, so two different moms of the babies). The crazy decision news is that the two-bedroom apartment my SIL, BIL, their “spouses” and the babies live in is also where we will be staying while we’re there. The hotel rates are just way too out-of-control to handle. My brother just has a basement efficiency and my best friend will have a house full of guests. Oh well… I’m looking forward to seeing everyone, but not to them seeing me (weight gain this year — boo, hiss
) and not at all to the cold weather (have I mentioned it’s warm enough to wear a t-shirt here today?)
Okay, dragging my lazy bum out of bed. It’s 7:15 now.
Have a great Thursday all.

Okay, why my new Amazon linky thingee decided to link to “different moms” in my post, I don’t know. That was not me doing that. Also hilarious that what comes up is not a book on lesbian childraising or adoptive mothers but rather a book about Christian moms raising “amazing” children. Amazing how, I ask?
