Spinning World
DISCLAIMER: One of the things I am struggling with right now is illness. If you have subscribed to my blog and are reading this private post, please do so knowing it has nothing to do with law school and is part of my personal journal. Thank you.
The side effects are getting somewhat better, but not as much as I’d hoped. I was working on a PowerPoint for work today doing fly-ins and fly-outs and other transitional effects and I totally puked. Sigh… It’s a really bad sign when even flying text makes you dizzy! Another wave always hits me around 4 p.m. and I can barely get to my car without feeling like I’m going to pass out. Then I was sitting in class tonight with tingling feet/toes and sharp pain shooting down the backs of my legs into my calves. It’s been 7 days and I’m hopeful that by this time next week I’ll have a much better report. In the meantime it’s much easier to journal my symptoms here so I can refer back later as needed from wherever I am. I took the Cymbalta Saturday night and have forgotten to take it since then. That may be why my pain has increased. Hopefully the Neurontin will take over soon.
I need to call my PCP to see if the blood test results have come back. I also need to call the main appointments line and see if I can get in to see one of the other neurologists she recommended in December or January. Hopefully the Neurontin will take effect soon and I won’t have to increase. I’m on 900mg/day right now and apparently it can go as high as 4800mg/day! I’ve been having some wicked headaches (and, as I mentioned, the dizziness/nausea), so I’d rather not increase if it means more of that. I have to finish this Powerpoint tomorrow and review the transitions with my boss so he’ll be ready for his presentation. Hopefully I won’t embarrass myself (I’ll make sure to keep a garbage can close).
For as tired as I am, it’s almost midnight and I’m still up. I’ve been cleaning because the cleaning lady comes tomorrow. Crazy yes?

Hope you feel better - the “Fade In” on Power Point annoys me the most

Love the new look! Sorry the meds aren’t working as well as you’d hoped–that just sucks. And I think its a geat idea to use your blog as a journal. I am always searching my blog to remind me when something happened. And nobody is forced to read–at least that’s what I keep telling myself whenever I am whining on my blog (not to insinuate that you are whining
).
