Revisions Suck
Since I got a good grade in my legal writing class, I had merely glanced over the teacher’s “minor” edits to my 20-page paper and tossed it in a pile in my office. Little did I realize I would need to actually make her edits if I want to turn this in as a satisfactory writing sample. Not only that, I think I chucked most of the background info she gave us (have I mentioned I detested the teacher?) So now I’m trying to decide whether to even turn a writing sample in tomorrow with my cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation and performance reviews or wait for her to request one? That would give me a little more time to beg a classmate for the background materials and try to clean up this thing. Man, despite my good grade, she sure did have a lot of suggested changes. Wonder what the people who got the top grades ended up with?
