Sick
Apparently my body doesn’t respond well to stress. In the past week, my carpal tunnel has come back with a vengeance and my sciatica has flared up so much that it hurts to walk. Woke up yesterday with a horrible yucky something — ear infection? sinus infection? strep throat? Not sure, but I feel crappy. I have yet another problem on top of that but it’s TMI so I won’t go there. Let’s just say that I’m off to the doctor this afternoon to be checked from head to tail.
I’m blogging this so I can check back at my next finals period to see if I’m in the same condition. With all the vitamins I take, you’d think this wouldn’t happen.
In the meantime, I managed to piss off one of my teachers yesterday. The teacher has been really preoccupied and distracted all semester, to the detriment of me and my classmates and did something that really got my back up so I finally said something. Now I’m on the wrong side of that teacher coming into finals and, due to the nature of our exam (see, this anonymous thing is hard!), the teacher will probably know which one is mine.
Just setting myself up for greatness here.

I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. I’ve heard a lot of people say they get sick after finals…it’s like your body suddenly rebels on you after holding it together for you through the stress. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh, please get better! I’ve suffered from all of your listed ailments (and likely your secret one) in the past. Carpal tunnel sucks. I had a really hard time with it when E was a baby, and I worked from home during pure transcription work. I had the sciatic nerve issue when pregnant with J - 9 years ago. That can really hurt.
Hope the dr. can help.

Feel betterm and hopefully the exam is graded by numbers and not names.

Yikes! Here’s hoping that your professor will see the light and realize that you were just standing up for you and your fellow students.
Best of luck on the final!

Here’s hoping that by the time you receive this you’ll have all the good drugs flowing through your system. I’ll be a mom for two seconds and say, “Make sure you’re getting enough rest!” Law school is a long distance race. Crossing my fingers for you on the prof issue. I’ve had ones who turned out to appreciate my gumption when it came time for grades, and ya know, those who didn’t.

Thanks all.
I am armed now with pills and creams galore. Apparently Levaquin has come out with a 5-day pack similar to a Z-pack and just one dose kicked that congestion right out of my head. Yay! Now the wait is on for grades and new classes start next week.
