I read about him a year or so ago in an article about how immigration judges were frustrated and depressed trying to deal with unrepresented children in the immigration courts. Joe Vail was so heartbroken trying to administer justice to those kids that he quit his cushy job as an IJ and became the immigration clinic attorney at UH. What a guy, huh? Joe Vail is an amazing person.
