Law school orientation
The time has finally come. I attended law school orientation last week and met many of my future classmates. It was fairly low-key, with talks by several professors and administrators and routine administrative tasks — ID photos, paperwork, tours, etc. We heard from a group of current students who scared us with tales of torturous exams, hide-the-ball professors and hours of studying each night (in addition to full-time jobs and several hours in class!). I’m cautiously excited. I’ve always been a good student and, while I know this will be different than anything I’ve ever experienced, I believe I will do well. The good news is that several of my classmates have children in Pumpkinhead’s age range and we hit it off fairly well so I can foresee potential studydate/playdate combos.
Classes start after Memorial Day. Until then, I’m going to relax, read some books for fun, spend some quality time with Pumpkinhead and generally enjoy my last days of freedom. ![]()
