You can revive a 10 year-old printer!
In 1997, I made my best-ever purchase (second to the aforementioned Dyson), an HP 6L LaserJet printer. This trusty printer got me through undergrad, several years in publishing and I was looking forward to using it for law school. Unfortunately, the cable was outdated and wouldn’t work with my shiny new Mac. After moping around for a few days and considering purchasing an expensive new printer, I realized some Internet detective work was in order. I found the most wonderful store, Luso PC. Luso PC sells on Amazon (where I went) and eBay and has the best customer service I’ve encountered in a long time. When I at first ordered the incorrect converter cable, Joe at Luso e-mailed me right back and told me exactly what cable I needed and helped me ship it back. They immediately sent me the proper cable and then, thanks to some awesome MacWorld posters, I found the drivers I needed. I have just successfully printed a set of beautiful pages.
I’m so excited!!!

hey there - thanks for visiting my site this afternoon. I wish you lots of luck w/law school!
answers to your questions:
a. just wanted to be anonymous so that I could feel free to say whatever - not really that I say anything that needs to be anonymous - just the “what if” I guess..
b. tips for first year - don’t quit. It’s rough sometimes - not a walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination. Exams are the worst (we get one test - one grade - at the end of each class - NO PRESSURE *sigh*). Study the black letter law, rule, exceptions, defenses, practice writing essay answers, find former tests and model answers at your school - preferably from professors you’ll have - study the CALI lessons (online or google ‘em). Just stay on top of what professors are teaching and don’t hesitate to ask them for help.
I ended up hiring someone to occasionally clean my house too - just no time for me. It is hard, but summer’s coming
Stay in touch! This will be a great adventure for you!!

WOOHOO for good office equipment. D and I recently got ourselves a combination fax/printer/copier on QVC (who knew!?) that had a $30 rebate on top of the great price. It works with his Mac, too.

Yay ML! I’ll keep QVC in mind just in case the HP decides that 11 years (in August) is just too long to keep cranking it out.
