A little interview
LawyerMama is keeping the interview chain going and has asked me the following questions.
1. If you could relive one day of your life, what day would it be?
I would love to relive my wedding day. After a year of dating, for a variety of reasons, my husband and I decided to marry on a Tuesday and were at the courthouse that Friday. We were both scared out of our minds and I think if we had it to do over again we would both have tried to be a bit more present in the moment. Don’t get me wrong - it was a great day regardless of the lack of “normal” wedding details, but all I can remember about the vows is my heart beating wildly and thinking “Ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod”. And the ceremony was bilingual so it just took forever for the judge to do everything first in English and then in Spanish. Still, we’ve been married for years now and, although it’s not always easy, I love him.
2. What is your favorite book or movie of all time and why?
Anne of Green Gables. I loved the whole Anne series. Anne is spunky, independent, intelligent and compassionate - timeless! I am a serious bookworm so this was a hard one but I wore my Anne of Green Gables books down to curled and faded pages from reading and re-reading them.
3. Describe your dream home.
One that comes with a housecleaner, personal chef and gardener. LOL! I love the home we’re in, but keeping up with it is so difficult. Pumpkinhead is starving by the time we get home so dinner is not easy to cook and the weekends are so busy it’s hard to find time to clean. I definitely need some help.
4. If you could choose 1 of your closest friends or relatives to be president, who would it be and why?
I’m going to take a pass on this one. I just can’t think of anyone. That’s not a reflection on my friends/relatives. It’s a hard office to hold and only a really specific type person strives for that.
5. What was your first pet?
His name was Shadow. He found us (camped out in our garage) and I begged my parents to let me take him in. He was a beautiful black cat who lived with us for about 8 years before we had to move and leave him behind with my Nana. He lived until he was 16 and then died peacefully. I adored that cat.
